An attempt for a poem

This is a very diverse one of its own kind,
Hear and read duly with your open mind,

Is there anything special about this one?
Sonnet in sixteen lines is yet to begin,

Idyl, is about some hero of a bygone age,
Shape is what I tried best, with no image,

ABCs is something good I really want to try,
Nothing’s impossible, so let me aim to apply,

Acrostic in nature, and rhyming at its best,
Couplet is this long poem, not an acid test,

Romanticism is not part of all these lines,
Ode is not what I aimed at, so it confines,

Shakespearen sonnet ends after this one,
Tersest is my kind and this is almost done,

I ain’t sure, if you understood, from my clue,
Connect all, the things between me and you!
