Thirteenth Floor, Room No 13

The scariest number from zero to infinity,
People consider it much against divinity,
The first among the teens to confuse,
It doesn’t find a place even in tattoos!

So, what does history have for this one?
Why is it still unlucky, even in long run?
But, isn’t it a number to mark a teenager?
Is transformation to teens such a danger?

I did go back to history to check this out,
What is the fear and abstention, all about,
The oldest data goes back to Last Supper,
That Judas Iscariot then turned a scupper.

There is no building thirteen in my office,
Which I came to know only on a pop quiz,
I surely wouldn’t play with your emotion
End up causing some sort of commotion!

The game of rugby has 13 players in all,
One of them will lose, if it isn’t a good call,
The American flag has thirteen stripes,
6 white and 7 red ones, that’s two types!

That’s the number in the baker’s dozen,
That will the number, even for his cousin,
Midnighters Trilogy is again based on this,
Not sure if it is evil or good, or is bliss!

Apollo 13 is the only unsuccessful mission,
That surely is a problem with some ignition,
Rondeau, a variant, is a poem with 13 lines,
There is no F-13 Key, as per initial designs!

I have tried my best to keep this short,
This line number matches to value of quart!
No one every releases a movie on this date,
Clearly no one wants to grip hands with fate!

Colgate University, consider this a good omen,
He was in favour too, Ceaser, and is a Roman!
There is no Number 13, in my entire street,
The Bus has removed this digit from the seat!

Why is it lucky and unlucky in diverse places?
Is it the same case across cases and races?
Every religion has on this, its own belief,
If someone clarifies, am sure, it’d be a relief!

In Mathematics, this number is a prime,
Considering the numbers one at a time,
You’ll need two hands and a leg to count,
Use two legs and a hand again, to recount!

My analog clock, doesn’t go beyond twelve,
Which finds a good place over my shelve,
That was the final movie from Oceans’ 13,
Have seen it 13 times on the movie screen!

Would you consider this a coincidence?
Or sinister but truly not a capital offense,
This so-called poem ends with 13 paragraphs,
Thats’s funny, my pal says, and loudly laughs!
